Pros
Great people within and across departments. New management is finally taking root and direction is being set. It is yet to be seen how the current changes will affect the company from both a shareholder and an employee (those that remain) perspective.
Kontras
Safeway has suffered from a lot of the "old boys club" syndrome. Some management has been stuck doing the same old thing giving in to fear of change or rocking the boat. But everything is changing, and the company needs to get through the current growing (right-sizing?) pains, and see how things settle out.
