It takes forever to earn a raise, and if you change departments the hours you have worked start over. They do not care about your time, so if you are a single parent or in school- forget it. Also, Safeway does not care about keeping their departments staffed, meaning that customers have to wait much longer to get what they came for. If your department has a call in- no one will even try to get someone else to come in.
