Pros
This job was a great starting place for me and my nursing career. I learned many skills while in nursing school that I would have not been exposed to other wise as a student nurse.
Kontras
Out of touch management including DOO and CEO. When I tried to explain to management that they need to be more involved, I was reprimanded and almost threatened (as I was leaving to start my career as a nurse). The CEO actually said to me 'you don't want to be leaving on a bad note now do we...' rather than even taking a moment to reflect on what I said. And just for context, I had done so much for this organization (brought SEVERAL nursing students to work as PSWs and later on as RNs, my boyfriend who is a photographer did photo shoots for the clients for free, etc you get the point). It is a toxic work environment. There is one location in particular that is especially toxic and most people will know what location I am talking about.... I would cry every time I was sent to this location because the clique of nurses at this home were so rude. I knew the team was talking about me behind my back and just being very fake at work. It made a very uncomfortable working environment.
