Upper management is vindictive and disingenuous, they have no problem look you in the eyes and lie about the "merit based promotion" at the interviews. If you are looking for a job for 3 months before moving on to better things, go for it; but you will not get a career here, because unless you are family and friends of the president and COO of the company, you will be treated like crap, let along moving up. You will never meet the ridiculous quota, and you can get fired or hours cut down because some executive didn't like something you said.
