Pros
Very good products, and a broad array of offerings. Customers are loyal and in general happy. The culture is healthy and good, if you are at HQ. The people are nice. Beautiful campus. There is good work/life balance at HQ. It's a fairly flat org chart so access to sr management exists.
Kontras
It's an engineering culture and very North Carolina centric... if you are in NC and/or an engineer its good. If you are in sales and not in NC it can be very frustrating. Low turnover in company but high turnover in sales. One can earn a decent wage here, albeit not as much as at a high tech company, and you have to work 60-80hr work weeks to earn that "decent" income. They hire more for "fit" than for talent , that could disrupt the status quo. Sometimes "fit" equates to mediocre. Disrupting the status quo is a no-no. You will either learn how to operate within SAS parameters or leave.
