Pros
The work is easy; it's a good entry-level position for people looking for work.
Kontras
The pay is not competitive, compared to other warehouses in the area; the hourly rate is on the low end. They offer benefits, but with a low base hourly rate, the benefits are too expensive to afford. The hours are insane, mandatory overtime is common, and you will be working 6-7 days in a row if upper management decides it's necessary. Opportunities for upward career movement are few and far between. You will likely be stuck in the same role for 2-3 years before being considered for a promotion. The team of managers there does not seem unified; they don't even seem like they enjoy working there. The managers/supervisors are unsatisfied in their roles, and it spreads to everyone else, creating poor morale amongst all the employees. Management also has high turnover; in the time I worked there, I saw 4 different plant managers get hired. Constant changes are being made, which is frustrating because the processes will change every 3-4 months. There is a lot of work to be done to fix the company culture at SA. I met lots of great hardworking people, but it's a shame the company chooses to overwork and underpay their high performers. During my final months working there, I felt completely burnt out. Expressing any concerns to management is met with being blown off or being pushed towards resigning/terminated.
