There tends to some sort of emergency that needs help resolving, and due to the lack of upper-management wanting to retain personnel, that equates to extended hours resolving issues, and minimal amount of progress enhancing the product. If IBM does poorly for the year, so does Rocket, which will affect promotions and bonuses (of the common layman), and may lead to layoffs. C-suite members are out of touch with their employees, and tend to side-step/draw out responses during town halls.
