Pros
Tons of growth opportunities, on the job training, supportive leadership, great diversity, equity, and inclusion. Being a part of positive life changing work. Feel respected, acknowledged, and supported. As a single parent I was provided the flexibility I needed to balance life and work. Wonderful trainings are offered to employees for CPU's or just for those who want to learn more about mental health. Top Human Services agency in the State! The new CEO is so down to earth and truly cares about the employees AND the people served. He is dedicated to advocating for people with mental health and other disabilities and fights hard to get the funding we need to serve the 40,000 individuals and families we serve each year. Many employees start at entry level jobs and have branched out to different programs/departments and have become top managers, directors, and members of the leadership team. Riverside is loyal to it's employees and wants to see them succeed.
Kontras
With any human service role, the pay rate isn't the best, but again, with the opportunity for growth you can increase your salary. Since Covid and with the recent political climate, staffing shortages has been problematic which means people are often taking more on than they're roles require but this is hopefully temporary.
