This past year has been difficult in many ways. However, when the economy began to struggle, our CEO/Owner, as well as our management team, made a commitment to retaining our staff, and avoiding layoffs. They recognized that they had a talented, diligent group of software developers and QA Analysts, and that we were worth investing in. As the industry heaved, struggled, and evolved, they adapted and found new strategies to acquire projects. Software consulting can be wild ride at times. You might work several contracts within the span of a year, requiring you to produce robust, professional solutions in a multitude of tech-stacks. For me, this has been a pro, not a con, but I realize that it may not be for everyone. I see it as an opportunity to be more than just an implementer.
