Pros

Fantastic team members across the globe who each excel at their respective craft, and are always willing to help each other at the drop of a hat. Cutting edge technologies, exciting challenges, and passionate teamwork really excel on the dev team. Even remotely our team is able to support each other constantly. While the process of betting itself may not be exciting, the underlying technologies and problem solving are always a blast. Huge Pro: Monthly Video Game Purchase.

Kontras

Due to the nature of our product being 24/7, and heavily reliant on real time data, there is occasionally times you need to pitch in and solve a problem late. Outside of the Toronto office, it's a little isolating working fully remote. Though our individual regions get together and hang out sometimes as well.

Pros

Management is excellent. They leave space to do the work, interruptions are minimal, and meetings are rare. Rivalry should provide management training for other companies to follow. Coworkers are respectful, intelligent and helpful.

Kontras

I honestly can't think of any so I will say that the pay, while in line with the industry, could be a little better. Money, for me, isn't everything. Culture and how employees are treated are much higher on my list.

Pros

Great CEO who truly balances prioritizing the success of his people and the company Cool opportunity to work at the intersection of two fast growing categories - esports/gaming and online betting Company still small enough so you can come in at almost any level and have access to leadership, make your voice heard and shape the direction of the business. From an impact perspective, both internally and externally, the work you do definitely matters and will be recognized.

Typical issues that come with a startup thats in transition which can be tough sledding for folks not used to that: questionable work/life balance, swiftly shifting priorities, direction from parts of leadership not alway clear, etc... There is a complete over reliance on slack and other channels for communicating important news/information which sometimes feels cold.
