Sector leads manage people in different departments who have completely different job functions. How can someone be evaluated by a manager who has no idea what they do? * High-school culture: There is a great deal of favoritism within the organization, and if you are not one of the favorites, good luck getting a promotion. The promotion process is not fair or transparent. It redefines "changing the goalposts". There is also a cult-like culture which drives many people crazy. * Management seems to think that leadership can be learned from reading the Harvard Business Review. * Pay is lower than competing CROs * Part-time programmers are being forced to resign
