Pros
Before the change in leadership, Retail Data Systems was a well-run, collaborative, and inspiring place to work. The previous management team truly understood the value of their employees and created an environment that encouraged growth, open communication, and mutual respect. Under the old leadership, expectations were clear, processes were streamlined, and decision-making was transparent. There was a strong sense of direction and purpose, which translated into high team morale and strong performance. Managers were approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in both the success of the company and the well-being of their teams. What stood out most was the culture—people felt heard, valued, and motivated. It was a place where hard work was recognized, innovation was welcomed, and collaboration thrived. The foundation laid by the previous management helped build a company many were proud to be a part of, and it's unfortunate to see how much that has changed since.
Kontras
I had high hopes when I first joined Retail Data Systems, but unfortunately, the direction the company has taken under new management has been disappointing. The biggest issue by far has been the shift in leadership and how it has impacted day-to-day operations, company culture, and overall morale. Since the new management team took over, communication has declined, priorities have become unclear, and decisions often seem disconnected from the actual needs of employees and customers. There’s been a noticeable lack of transparency and consistency, which has made it difficult to feel confident in the company’s direction or leadership. Many talented people have left or become disengaged, and it’s disheartening to see the potential of the company being undermined by poor management choices. While there are still some great individuals working hard to make things better, it’s hard to ignore how much the overall environment has deteriorated. I genuinely hope the company can course-correct in the future, but for now, the leadership remains the biggest obstacle to growth and success.
