OVERALL COMPANY CULTURE CON: This organization is undergoing major changes and has strayed far from it's original mission. "Restructuring" has resulted in many people losing their jobs or having to reapply for their own job. Positions and "processes" are being reinvented every day, with some positions merging into hybrid roles, while other positions are created for no apparent reason. There is a major disconnect between the corporate office and program level management. Not only does corporate not have a clue about what goes on at each program (good and bad) there is no defined path of communication when it comes to implementing the constant corporate changes at the program level. Programs are supposed to manage their operations in adherence with a corporate managed budget and corporate instituted operating procedures but there is zero guidance, support or communication in regard to execution. Roles are not clearly defined so the expectations placed on management are ambiguous. Until that is, you commit some infraction you never knew anything about, then expectations are sharply defined in the form of an admonishment or corrective action. Prepare to be demoralized and dumbfounded on a regular basis. No one communicates with anyone and everyone is paranoid about losing their jobs. There is a lot of cliquey-ness and weird unspoken rules that as a new person, you don't figure out until you've violated the code. The rules change from day to day but nothing ever actually changes. CONS OF THE MOST EGREGIOUS NATURE: Program level - Breech of confidentiality in regard to fellow staff and patients (pervasive) Open displays of preferential or disfavorable treatment of clients Document falsification and lying to patients Compromised staff and patient safety Unprofessional Directors who make up their own rules Complacent, underperforming staff who have been there so long they can't be terminated No real job description or established set of expectations Oppressive energy brought on by profit driven productivity quotas Lack of defined goals in regard to meeting the productivity requirements Total indifference towards improvement or truly understanding how and why it matters Shady billing Lack of training Will say anything to get you to accept an offer due to desperation Once you accept an offer, the position will turn out to be nothing like what was described Corporate- Too focused on their own "operations" to develop relationships with Program teams Misguided ideas about how to run programs and zero interest in program input Too many duplicate roles and terrible lack of communication about contact point person Control program revenue and disregard program inquiries about careless mishandling Poor distribution of vital information but yet, sent 50 emails a day to congratulate themselves Continue to present organization as decentralized but centralize more and more every day
