This made me laugh, although I appreciate the writer wanted to make a serious point so I will respond to the facts. Making people redundant is the last thing any business leader wants to do and that process probably did give me a few grey hairs ! :) It's a tough time for many businesses at the moment and difficult decisions have to be made. I hope we conducted the process ( in early October ) in a fair and sensitive way and offered support throughout, including outplacement guidance until everyone affected secured a new jobs. I am sorry this individual found that process difficult and don't blame them for having a go, I have broad shoulders but for the record have never been called elderly before :)
