- RLC gives a lot of guidance as well as space for creativity for young employees/interns - Organizationally, RLC is designed with a lot of flexibility -- food rescues do not need a minimum weight and food can be rescued at flexible hours. RLC caters food rescue services to the needs of food donors, maximizing the potential of food being rescued. You can also work at flexible hours. - I work off site with RLC as a branch head, and RLC provides me with the option to rethink/redesign the food rescue model to suit the needs of this community but with enough support that I feel connected with the larger mission of the organization. - I have a very educational experience working with RLC --you learn about social media outreach, fundraising, volunteer coordination, event planning, food safety rules and you get to know your community well. You learn how a non-profit works with other very passionate people.

- this is not really a con, but you need to be very self-motivated and organized and willing to do many different kinds of tasks (and to learn quickly on your own) especially if you work as a branch head
