Pros

Repligen is in great markets with innovative products that are usually leaders in the markets it competes in. Also because it went through such a big growth spurt you still have great opportunities to interact with leadership and do a lot of work outside of what you were hired for so you can still learn a lot - I know I am!

Kontras

The wider turndown in the industry (which is expected to turn around this year) has led to significant cutbacks in both budgets and headcount. It was supposed to be done at once but appears to be ongoing in bits and has led to a lot of people quitting as well. Morale is pretty low right now but we should see things brighten up later this year and into next year. There's also been a lot of turnover in leadership - I think it'll be for the better but I'm not sure yet. And because of all the turnover staffing is really lean and everyone has a LOT on their plate - probably not sustainable over the long term.

There are strong opportunities to build on existing skills while also expanding both depth and breadth of experience through new projects, stretch assignments, and exposure to different areas of the business. It’s a place where continuous learning and professional growth are valued.

The environment is fast-paced given how fast we are growing, which creates strong learning and growth opportunities, though it may require employees to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities at times.

- Engineering individuals strive to make new and improved products - Engineer groups like to collaborate/communicate regularly across the product lifecycle - Excellent individual contributors across the company in many departments - Engineers with more expertise are generally very excited to share knowledge - Competitive benefits and stock options - Lots of collaborative project spaces with meaningful impact on healthcare research

Kontras

- Regular conflict between senior management and employees facing customers and building the products leading employees feeling unheard or under valued - Policies and revolving door layoffs give the perception of disproportionate gender and age treatment -still blaming covid for bad leadership and high turnover -deteriorating customer relationships on their flagship products -unclear job titles, descriptions, and quality guidelines -layoffs or re-titles of certain demographics in particular (i.e. maternity leave and age most notably)
