Terrible ownership and toxic managers prevent any dreams of progress that they may hold onto. In an ever-growing, advancing, and constantly changing media market, instead of hiring or listening to new ideas, they continue to adhere strictly to the fortune-telling of geriatric, out-of-touch, controlling "Consultants" and Nielsen representatives who give direct orders to the entire company despite any protest from individuals who are actually proficient at their job. To my knowledge, in the years that I have been there, there have been zero raises, not a single performance review, and the only possibility of moving up in the company is if someone (inevitably) quits or is replaced. This is all despite the fact that the company consistently asks more and more of its employees until they eventually break or push back. The executives fully believe that they cannot be wrong and do not trust their employees' abilities to empower the company; they only care about how the they can benefit directly from their employees and how much money they will bring them.
