What they say is not what they do. - They say they promote open culture, encourage you to volunteer your help wherever needed, and they are proud of the open floor plan and no office - even it was true at some point in the history, this is def not the case now. Very closed in and very inner circle culture. My boss's boss explicitly expressed dismay for me helping out another group on my own time. - They say they are a flat organization - again, even it was true at some point in history, this is def not the case now. In fact it's a bit of a mess in the org chart, i.e. 5 levels of SVP’s, and a whole group of CUOs of various regions and lines... - They say they treat you like family, and want the best for you - not true. For example, the rigid RTO policy is non-sensible, and the HR will report you to your boss behind you back if you don't comply. - No career development, and non-consistent promotions – PMP doesn’t matter (why spend so much time and effort doing this elaborate process?). It’s rather location and group dependent (again, inner circle culture). - DEI: yes a lot of DEI activities on the calendar and pushed in your goals. But if you look closely, a lot of the minorities or people of color are hired to fill the mid-to-low positions. No diversity at the upper management. My group for example is 90% white male, and the female members end up with the most tedious & repetitive work and don’t get recognized (coincidence?). The above is just some of the observations.
