Pros
- Very friendly coworkers. - Management is always available if you need them. - Interesting products and plenty of market share to capture.
Kontras
- Poor health benefits (only made worse by the fact that this is one of the world's largest healthcare corporation). - Inconsistent benefits between employees. Everyone has certain benefits given to them by corporate (McKesson who now has a much bigger say in everything). Your direct lead can choose to restrict those benefits or relax them depending on how they see fit so you can't count on anything not written into your employment agreement. - Extreme worship of the almighty dollar above all else. Don't be fooled by the fact that this is a healthcare company, you'll never heard about patient quality of life or anything like that, only weekly or daily reminders of how close our projected numbers are to current numbers. - No recognizable career path or structure. About 90% of the people that have been here more than 5 years are in the same roles they were hired into. Very little internal promotion. Mostly sourced from outside or from other McKesson entities. - HR (or lack there of)
