At REFUNITE we work hard to reconnect lost loved ones. The organisation has an abundance of talented team members who are building a scalable product that currently outperforms existing family tracing solutions by more than a factor of 10. Since the organisation isn't a behemoth there is significant room to put your mark on it and grow your responsibility. As anywhere what's required is initiative, talent and hard work.

As most startups REFUNITE desires to run lean and agile, but is struggling to continuously accelerate its pace of progress / velocity. A couple of reasons may be a too wide set of goals and suboptimal skill allocation on too many SCRUM teams.

1. Positive mission; to help refugess reconnect.

Hideously bad management. 1. Firing decisions are made on the fly and inevitably, are moraly wrong. They fired expectant mothers while I was there. One countersued and the case is in court. 2. Management does not listen to employees. You may suggest solution a but since b is in vogue, b it will be. 3. Salary sleight of hand; I.e. the management impresses on employees to take a paycut to help refugees yet the bulk of money is spent on flights for upper management 4. Blatant racism; I can't even begin elucidating it. It's endemic 5. No training opportunities. Out of a tech team of ~13 over 3 years (39 work years), only 1 person got a week to go out to a tech conference.
