Pros

In my position, I reported directly to the executive level. They gave me a LOT of freedom and independence, which I loved. I was able to build designs and processes from the ground-up and was always given access to whatever tools I needed to accomplish a task, plan an event, etc. I worked across all levels and with every project team in the company as well and I really liked my coworkers - everyone tends to chip in and work as a team when needed. It's a mostly young, fun group. Reed also invests in its employees in terms of training, technology, networking opportunities, fun company events, branded swag, etc. I consistently received fair compensation/bonuses and accolades for my work.

The nature of the industry itself is chaotic, so sometimes it can be hard to track down information. There was also a lack of process for getting information for/approvals of projects I was working on, though it had improved by the time I left. A lot of my colleagues expressed that they were very stressed and worked long hours, which I think was in part due to the nature of the industry but also from a lack of consistent communication and processes within the company/teams. For the most part, everyone gets along but company culture as a whole could be improved - some events or opportunities seemed to be available to select groups/levels of employees. I understand that certain opportunities must be attained through hard work, but a little more inclusivity might go a long way with non-management personnel.

Pros

Pursuing great opportunities every day across a large amount of vertical markets. Work as a team culture and support one another to succeed. Managers are flexible and ensure there is a good balance.

Kontras

Changing and implementing new processes can be time consuming and slow down current priorities, but end of day they are for the best long term.
