Good people outside of management who are now all overpaid consultants

Owner doesnt listen Short sighted never sees the big picture Overpaid consultants at top who dont care about staff and have made things worse. Losing money now. Try to do a good job to pretend they do but actions speak louder than words Had good management team all have left or been laid off and powerless to 1 or 2 in the company who make all decisions Dont live by there own values Everyone underpaid apart from at the top Most jobs going to Kenya now as cheap labour People laid off when job still needed No direction from owner. always goes missing when good people are laid off. Happened on more than 5 occasions since I've been here. No thank you. No goodbyes. Kenya team a front for another business Business on a downward spiral only survived this long because of covid19 Most of the staff are unhappy and looking to leave Toxic place to work and very stressful always fighting fires. They treat some staff v badly Feel sorry for good people there who try but csnt ge through to owner or the operations manager Nepotism at its finest. Clueless, arrogant and couldnt care less about you behind closed doors

I don't really agree with the comment about our Kenya team - we have some highly skilled individuals working with us that are based in Kenya and it's not a front for anything. The company has been through some tough times but things are definitely improving. Thank you again for the review. Paul

Pros

Reasonable working hours Great colleagues who help out however they can, both the UKA and Kenya group

Kontras

Non existent medical cover offered in your contract which you are to get after a year of working there No proper structure in some departments as some teams rely on themselves wholly with no leadership to bridge the gap to management and guide them Products being sold are not available and there are delays on getting them hence need to lie to customers who have already paid

Workload peaks are intense, especially during seasonal rushes. Limited career progression unless roles open up in management. Base salary could be more competitive compared to industry standards. Communication gaps between departments sometimes cause delays.
