Pay is higher than some places

One of the most hostile work environments you can imagine. Owner lashes out and curses at people on a daily basis and pretty much does whatever he wants, because no one calls him out. Everyone there is miserable and strong armed into terrible working conditions. He also plays favorites with his friends employed there and will look the other way on pretty much anything they do. Half of the people they hire know next to nothing about geology or logging in general, so it reflects in the work they put out. You might work 2 months in a row with no days off or be off for 2 months with no communication and be expected to stand by in case they call you.
