Open learning environment, very hands on

Not a program based internship, no other interns or collaborating

Cool working environment. Coworkers were cool. Learned a lot and was able to grow and move up. Was able to build personal and professional connections. A lot of opportunity to grow as a leader. Management team was easy to get along with. Overall, the type of environment and coworkers were worth it and I gained a lot of friendships I still have today. I grew exponentially as a leader and this role gave me an opportunity to achieve some personal and professional goals and I had an overall positive experience with management and leadership.

Micromanagement was a bit out of control. Overall lack of trust in the team. Drama perpetuated by upper leadership. As with everything, this job was not perfect. There was an overall lack of trust from management in the leadership team, which I can only hope has gotten better. High expectations, which can be both good and bad. Sometimes it crossed over into expecting perfection with no room for humanity, though.
