Regular employee usually doesn't get involved in "real" development work. * Japan Ichiba asked every regular employee to be on call for emergency matters. If you get alter mails you have to response and cope with it in timely manner. To make matter worse, they even didn't mention any single word regarding "on-call duty" in the offer letter. (Not to mention the poor salary) * It is hardly to use any new technology in Japan Ichiba. You couldn't get budget if it can't make money. (No budget, no work) * Bonus is based on your rank. Not the performance.
