This used to be a good company to work for, but the new leadership seems determined to run the company into the ground. There is no investment being made into employees and tools. In the last couple of years, they have "offshored" entire departments (and replaced loyal employees that have been with the company for decades, with new hires in India), cut departments and transferred their responsibilities to other departments with no adjustment to workload (and forced the previous members of those departments into new roles they have no experience in), and laid off "expensive" people regardless of their skills and experience (with no notice- they get ambushed by HR in a scheduled meeting) to save money. They also cut the training program (again, to save money), so new hires are sitting around with nothing to do or being thrown into the deep end, because there is no one with the capacity to train them. There are many people long overdue for promotions/ raises that are being forced to train new hires that were hired at a higher title/ salary than them. The only bonus I have ever seen being given out was earlier this year, a "spot bonus" that amounted to 0.05% of your annual salary. Leadership is well aware through client complaints that there are not enough resources to complete the work on time, yet they are doing nothing to address this other than to tell people to work faster/ use AI (but no guidance as to how). There are also very few career opportunities, as they have stopped opening up vacancies to internal employees, and are only hiring externally now, so people are just stuck in their current positions until they can find an opportunity to leave. People are severely burnt out, and there is always a number of people out on medical leave due to mental health issues from this workplace. They are bleeding talent and handing them to their competitors on a silver platter, but leadership doesn't seem to notice as they just see it as a cost saving opportunity to hire a cheaper replacement.

Pros

Excellent place to gain hands-on experience with AI/ML training data workflows. The project guidelines are very clear and structured.

Kontras

The work is highly repetitive and sitting for long hours requires deep focus. Deadlines are tight with strict weekly accuracy quotas.

Decent paying side job, flexible hours

Kontras

Absolute nightmare to get paid. You WILL have to complain in order to get paid, and you will most likely have to complain more than once in order to get the answer you need. I still haven't been paid for work done months ago! Everyone that reads this with a similar issue needs to do what I did and bring it to the attention of the state labor boards.
