The least professional organization - Mitarbeiter (anonym) bei RM Innovation: Mitarbeiterbewertung

My time working there was so unique, impactful and unforgettable that I’ve begun writing an essay reflecting on my experience. Here are some highlights from my journey at RM Innovation. 7 months ago, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Khazai inspired me to take the risk of taking a semester off from college to work under him at his tech company. The experience I had is one that was absolutely unpredictable and unexpected, two traits parallel to the evolution of the global economy around us, and a great change of many implications that has only begun. Through thick and thin and the emotional journey it was, I do not regret a single day of working for him. Mr. Khazai asked me to do one thing in my duration at his company and it is as follows: learn and grow. For your personality is your personal reality and to know you is to grow you. Personality is also a reflection of a person’s ability and by taking on responsibility, your ability to respond will come to fruition. Simultaneously your personal reality, and thus your personal ability will also grow. This was the primary philosophy transpired to me through the guidance and teachings of Mr. Khazai through the work I conducted for him. There are not many individuals alive with the growth mindset and hunger for personal development like that of Mr. Khazai. RM Innovation has offered me an incredible pre product-market fit experience to accelerate my own personal development while simultaneously innovating the future of the rug industry. The CEO, Mr. David Khazai, has an incredible passion for visualizing, manifesting and creating the future of both the individuals around him and the rug industry itself. This energy and optimism for the future is a force that affects all of those working around him and has helped me create new mental models and paradigms within myself to actually accomplish tasks that are seemingly impossible. I’ll quote Steve Jobs, “The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”

Why did I have this experience when so many others felt as if he was cruel, harsh or hostile? It is simply a matter of a difference in perspective. For your perception of reality will be what you experience in actuality. RM Innovation has a culture to push your beyond what you think is possible and all with your best intention in mind. No one can experience a pre product-market fit environment and be left unscathed because the very nature of startups is that they are dynamic, uncertain and risky by definition. It is also interesting to note that the reputation of Steve Jobs was often described as harsh, confronting & belittling. However, against odds of extreme uncertainty, he was able to inspire others to carry out his vision and built Apple into the powerhouse it is today. Now he is looked upon as one of the most renowned innovators and leaders of this century. No one ever said taking on an entire industry was a journey of rainbows, flowers, and sunshine. Some individuals lose focus by getting caught in the micro emotions of the present; this will certainly stop you in your tracks and waste your most valuable asset: time. These people fuel the problem. They are the followers. They react just as others would and they fuel the fire of distraction through reaction. They externalize reactions to external stimuli. They choose to lose focus. Others understand that their energy and focus can be a vector, a movement with a direction, towards their macro vision of the future, letting nothing in their way stop them. These are the problem solvers. They are the leaders. They choose to internalize their reactions to external stimuli. They choose to stay focused. Perspective is the difference between being right or wrong because your perception of reality is what you experience in actuality. That being said, you’re the master of reality; don’t let your perspective become your fatality. Simply put, startups and pre product-market fit environments are NOT for everyone… but this one was certainly for me.

Got to work with some good people

The owner is pretty out there. He tried to come off like a guru or personal development coach rather than a business owner. Also our checks started bouncing at a certain point and a number of people left when I did.
