Pros
Some genuinely fantastic people work at RAC. There are glimmers of hope and people who want to do great things. When you find the people that support you, they will do so unconditionally. Sometimes there are food trucks and events on. Working from home for two weeks out of three is a good perk.
Kontras
Extremely cliquey and rife with micro-management and mobbing. The amount of people leaving is beyond belief. Many friends who have existing mental health issues found that the pressure made them worse. You will need to use many systems all at once and deal with constant harassment and abuse from managers and members. Commissions are capped and you get penalised for spending too much or not enough time on the phone. If you don't cross sell or meet the impossible metrics, you will be placed on a performance plan and eventually let go. Opportunities for progression are disguised as 'development opportunities' and every second person is on secondment so you won't have the same manager for long. You don't get celebrated when you get it right.
