Team seemed to be friendly and supportive. Relaxed environment and interesting field. Well located in downtown Toronto. No dress code which can be liberating. Associated with a very prestigious publishing company (McGraw-Hills). Seem to have good training and learning opportunities

They really need to work on transparency and honesty in the hiring process, Is understandable the desire to avoid conflicts or embarrassing situations and that is the easy path to take. Do not hesitate in telling the reasons to the candidate why you cancel a job offer that is already on the table, in any case, you are entitled to change your mind. Pros

Some of the smartest people in the industry are your colleagues. The teams work hard together to success. They are supportive of each other personally and professionally. I worked for the company for three years as a Financial Engineer. I was able to get the most diverse hands on experience in sales, presales and product development and work as a leader on teams made up of people with different backgrounds and strengths. The management team has worked hard to create transparency and uniformity in the company and they continue to take feedback from the employees to create a better working atmosphere. Employee morale is a big emphasis for the management and there are monthly events to build a closer team.

There are times that it feels you are stalk doing the same thing over and over. This happens at a software company where new ideas and work is being developed. Testing and QA are a part of the job, even if not the most exciting. The upside is, everyone is always thinking of ways to minimize the mundane work and have the employees spend their time doing interesting work.
