Pros
1. Good compensation 2. Historically amazing career growth (not sure if true currently) 3. Decent non-cash benefits 4. Overall great people 5. Good reputation, adds to personal credibility
Kontras
1. In the chips (VLSI) division, there's too much drudgery and not enough challenges. Too high an emphasis on timelines and deliverables, creating work pressure without the benefit of the job satisfaction counter-balance 2. Company and overall industry not doing well 3. Too heavily reliant on a few major players, career at risk 4. Several management issues, at least in Bangalore (India), too many failed restructuring attempts, I've also heard multiple persistent grumbles about strong politics-driven culture for advancements in higher strata (not verified by me, but likely true) 5. Poor work-life balance
