Pros

Quadrint is the best company I've ever worked for. My coworkers are great, the projects are interesting, the team environment is supportive and fun, and the compensation/benefits are more than fair. I get a sense that the owners and upper management truly care about everyone, from the first employee to the most recent, and this is reinforced by them taking the time to stay in touch with every employee on a regular basis, even as the company keeps growing. Since the company is in growth mode right now, there are a variety of software development and data scientist opportunities that are in some very interesting problem areas. If you are a professional who wants to be surrounded by an amazing team working on awesome projects and making a real impact with customers, this is the place for you. Since I’ve been here and as far as I can see in the future, there is no limit to learning and career growth here.

Kontras

The only con is that health insurance premiums are a bit high as the company has recently outgrown small company status in the insurance marketplace. However, while the premium is higher than I've seen in other companies, the plans themselves are high quality and other areas of compensation far outbalance this one area.

Pros

I honestly have nothing positive to say other than, they’ll entice you with “golden handcuffs”. Meaning, they pay higher than most other contracts for your YOE.

Kontras

As a first foray into the government sector of software development, I couldn’t have picked a worse place. Non-technical middle management bloat on contracts advertised as “agile”. No mentorship or senior technical leadership for developers and sysadmin. No formal training, demonstrations, or even documentation on multiple systems that a dev/sysadmin is expected to be a SME on. HR always finds a way to get around providing the stated employee benefits (I was denied parental leave for the birth of my first child). Fake managing partners and corporate leaders that exploit the actual technical employees. Old systems that customer (government) expects major upgrades to be completed on, all with a nonexistent timeline and little to no manpower.
