Pros

Good salary quarterly increment don't know

Kontras

The company’s product management is largely non-technical. Their primary role often seems limited to collecting updates rather than adding strategic value to the product. Requirements are frequently created without proper feasibility checks, seemingly to impress leadership, which results in wasted time and effort. Leadership itself is also non-technical, and many initiatives are driven by random, impractical requests. Feasibility concerns are usually realized only after significant development time has already been invested. The so-called VPs primarily give feedback on superficial aspects like UI/UX design, but there is little to no focus on proper system design, architecture, or long-term scalability. The codebase of existing applications is poorly structured and lacks maintainability. Instead of embracing challenging problems, most senior members tend to avoid them and delegate without proper guidance. The company clearly needs more experienced professionals who have spent years in the industry and understand both technical depth and organizational growth.

This culture makes it difficult to grow as an engineer, as innovation and technical excellence are not encouraged.

Pros

I’ve been working at Qlu.ai for more than 1 year as a Full Stack Engineer in the Neptune team. I’ve spent time in both the Islamabad and Karachi offices, and honestly, the work experience has been great in both. I joined right after graduation, and this has been a huge learning curve for me – from understanding how real engineering work is done. Pros: Very friendly and helpful environment – teammates and team leads are always supportive. You get real ownership of your work. Great salary packages with performance-based increments (2–3 times a year). No probation period. Medical insurance for you and your spouse (covers both IPD and OPD). Fuel allowance. 3 meals a day provided. Unlimited leaves (with lead approval). Annual Pakistan tour for employees. Short power naps allowed at the office. No toxic “seth” culture – leadership sits and works alongside you, and respect is equal for everyone.

Kontras

Being a startup, the workload can get intense at times – sometimes you need to work late nights or weekends. Long working hours. No provident fund or similar long-term employee policies yet. Medical doesn’t cover parents.
