Pros

PublicSquare is one of the most unique companies I've ever worked. Very few companies IPO so early in their evolutionary arc. PublicSquare has spent the years since inception locking into a scalable business plan that isn't a flash in the pan. It's clear that in Q3 2024, they have found that plan and are locked in. This company has a staff that is bound by shared principles which makes for a harmonious work environment and a team that trusts one another. This is rare in early stage companies and a pleasure to be around here. Great things are coming and it's very exciting.

Like any early stage company, there are ups and downs as the leadership team locks in on a long term strategy that is free of gimmicks and fads. The company has definitely found there way now. Sure, there have been re-orgs and re-structurings, but this has not been done without mindfulness and consideration of the great patriots that make up the employee base at PublicSquare. All in all, the company has been able to maintain stability and focus through its formative years and is ready to to scale.

Pros

As a whole, the work environment is good. Every interaction I had with co-workers was great. There is something to be said about working with like minded individuals. The remote environment worked well because working for PublicSquare you really feel like a part of a family. The CEO is a hype man and this fuels the overall team energy. I think deep down they are good people and hope they can get past their growing pains but I have my doubts in their ability to do this.

We were required to be in so many meetings everyday that it interfered with our other duties. There is so much wasteful spending at this company I can only imagine the impact it had on the bottom line. Mismanagement of money will ultimately be the downfall if not remedied. Here you have a “start-up” operating on investment dollars yet they take lavish leadership retreats, expensive dinners, and constant unnecessary travel. They up and decided to leave our location in California then flew people out to them constantly. They spend an ungodly amount of money on promoters that they can not retain good talent to help the company grow. They constantly speak against using Amazon and big box stores but they all shop these places daily. The products on their own website are so expensive, there is no advantage to shopping on it. They talk about growing American businesses but their diapers are made in Mexico.
