- Base salary was decent - Paid Overtime which is different from industry norm - Some people are nice

- Poor design standards and practices - No set methodology or accountability - No performance bonuses - Lots of hierarchy and some lower talent/skillemployees with any years at the company like to be subordinate to their superiors - Occasions where building code is not followed for sale of fees/time/project cost Being part of Englobe they should have better practice and standards than what is here. Everything is chaos, impossible deadlines, there was many a time a client phoned asking for drawings and no one knew we even had that project. No project management whatsoever, even as a senior you don't know the fees or what kind of overall hours/budget you are trying to adhere to. Ther are people who have been there for 20+ years that are verbally abusive and would have been canned after the 3rd offense at previous employers but are still there. Toxic work culture is an understatement. Most EITs are fresh out of school, an even those that have a year or two experience have no guidance and limited oversight. No actual senior engineer review for the most part prior to projects getting issued which results in a multitude of embarrassing and major issues on site from either insufficient design or bad detailing that doesn't actually work.

No reason to work there

Worst hierarichary eve in a company. It is a one man show which is the CEO and the owner of the company. How come a junior engineer report directly to the CEO?? Also, alot of passive aggressive (Racism) in his talk. Worst experience ever.
