Stagnant pay (only ever “cost of living” 3% raises), Zero recognition for work (“thank you” or “good work”), Abusive leadership, yelling, shouting, intimidation, calling employees “incompetent”, slamming tables, fostering an “us vs them” culture, Extreme hours expectation, praise for regularly staying until 7PM+ creates an expectation that everyone does that, 55 - 65 hours per week every week, some employees arrive at 6AM, leave at 7PM, regular Saturdays, Promoting “friends and family” to director roles, Unrealistic timelines, slashing realistic timelines in half, removing any room for accidents, removing any room for failure, only allowing for one minimum cycle of testing, not allowing for a design-TEST-redesign cycle, functioning on an “everything has to pass the first time” basis, Fear of taking sick / vacation time for fear of retaliation, Lack of trust
