There are a number of highly skilled, educated and personable employees. This company has the skills and knowledge to get to the next level - unfortunately the antiquated methods of one is holding a whole organization back.

Leadership lives under the thumb of a monopolizing, self serving, long term inept manager. The lack of professionalism, derogatory, condescending and threatening behaviours of this manager make for a toxic environment. Staff should not have to walk on pins and needles, be intimidated with threats of termination or payroll deductions. Conversations with HR acknowledge this behaviour and respond with "it has gotten better" and accept it as status quo due to "senior"ity. The demand for power and control, my way or the highway mentality, and dictatorship is highly outdated and disrespectful. A continuous need for self-gratification of an insecure ego to validate and justify themselves continually is revolting - even more revolting is leadership coddling this behaviour and giving a pedestal to rule from.
Do not rely on outdated techniques (i.e.: personality profiling - M-B's - circa 1940's methods) to grow your company from. Further followed by "The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team" method has been stalemated for 2.5 years without development beyond step 1 - absence of trust - question the source and find a better process.
