The only thing I can say that I liked about Pressedroots was the location. The admistration there is a cult. Be prepared for constant change in policies. The pay is low and they are looking for people fresh out of school to assist with services. The people they have training are not certified instructors or trainers just people that have worked as a stylist and are good at what they do but no background in training whatsoever. They definently don't want people who are strong, educated in business and in the industry because you are not so easy to manipulate and you become a threat to them. If you are looking for personal time, forget about it. They do not accommodate anything. There is no personal time given and if there is an emergency that you have, be prepared to be written up. If you sign up for full-time or part time be prepared to not complete your full amount of hours for the week because once they are done using you to service their clients they will tell you to clock out and go home. The owner and her sister run the place (take heed to that) they want you to complete 120m on each client and if you go over the time you could stand a chance of being taken off the floor. The women there are not supportive and they are catty and competitive. The owner doesn't do hair but expects you to complete task at a minimum of 120m not taking in to count other variables that may prevent you from doing that. You are not allowed to voice your opinion respectfully so be prepared to go in shut up! and do the service. I would not recommend an experienced stylist work here cause that isn't what they are looking for. Again if you are young and fresh out of school this may be a temporary stepping stone for you, I wouldn't look at it any other way than what it is. Just that! Take lots of photos of your work and promote promote promote! Yourself! Not pressedroots. Overworked/underpaid!!!! link to company page
