While they claim to conduct biannual performance reviews, one of them doesn’t result in pay or title adjustments—it feels more like a tactic to instill fear of underperformance rather than a genuine growth opportunity. Too many leaders and HR interventions often shifts the mindset away from a true startup culture, making it feel more like an outdated consulting firm with rigid structures. It’s time to embrace the spirit of innovation and adaptability instead of clinging to an inflated sense of hierarchy.
