I had a very positive experience working at Police Security Flashlights. The people here are kind and truly care about you as a person and your growth and well being on both a professional and personal level. They are willing to teach you about the business and support your growth in your career. I felt very accepted in the organization and felt like the people I worked with genuinely cared about me as a person and wanted to help me be at my best. Every member of the team is willing to jump in and help with tasks to ensure the success of the company. There is definitely a team spirit and a team atmosphere here. The business operates at a fast pace and you will wear many hats, but you will also be very supported and uplifted by the team which makes your work experience enjoyable. Everyone on the team is willing to help one another. You also will learn A LOT about both the wholesale and retail industry. If you dig in and are eager to learn, you will be fed a vast amount of knowledge. The business is interesting to learn. You will have some tasks that are the same everyday but will also work on projects that challenge you and teach you which for me was a good balance. You will work hard and there will be days or periods where there is a heavier work load, and some days or periods where it’s lighter, but it all balances out. The office is gorgeous. The job was fulfilling and helped grow my career. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to grow in my career and I am grateful for the relationships and friendships that I built during my time here.

Of course there will be moments of stress or frustration at any organization and in any role, but overall I had a very positive experience. As I mentioned, you will wear many hats and the company operates at a fast pace. There were times where I was responsible for creating my own work. For me personally, I didn’t dislike this environment and actually enjoy working at a fast pace as I do not enjoy being stagnant. If you are someone who needs to be given direction throughout the entirety of the workday I would recommend talking with your managers to make sure that your needs and work style has been communicated so that they can work with you. The managers are flexible and willing to work with you as long as you communicate with them.

Small team, office is close to some good lunch spots

I worked here during 2020 and was laid off, but feel I was hired without clear expectations of my role and position. Every single assignment I turned in was micromanaged to death, despite my best efforts. I’m not sure how everyone hasn’t burnt out and left yet, but it seems they’re still employed and the company is still in business. This may have all been due to Covid though, but was blamed on my “performance” at the time. Either way, under the best of circumstances, I wouldn’t have stayed here more than a year.
