Great company with plenty of freedom - Lead Producer bei PlayStack: Mitarbeiterbewertung

I enjoy working at Playstack. I have been here less than four years but more than one. But it is a shame what has happened to the company since the Balatro release. Folks that worked on the game are seen in a higher regard than everyone else. It’s now a two-tier company. All expenses paid award trips, bonuses, promotions! If you were lucky enough to be assigned to Balatro, you get everything! Although the team has done a good job on the game, the game is so good that it sells itself! Let’s not pretend that if it wasn’t for Playstack the game wouldn’t have sold as many copies.

Politics. You need to ensure you say the right thing and not annoy the wrong person. Say the wrong thing to someone who worked on Balatro… boy you could be in trouble! Because ‘we can’t lose any of the staff that worked on that game!’.

They seem like nice people on voice chat.

I went through several rounds of interviews with the company including several C-levels. After my third interview they stopped responding to me entirely. I emailed several times and no response.
