Pros
They encourage a healthy work-life balance. Management keeps a good attitude and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty, just like the workers. Training is provided as needed. If you are given a new task, you will be provided with the support necessary to be successful.
Kontras
It is a smaller company, so pay can be below average. There are limited opportunities for growth. Politics often enter in on hiring, promotions, and salaries.
The Selma plant is a great place to work. I always felt welcomed and had a steady work environment. I had a great since of accomplishment in knowing what my role in the company was there. The people I worked with were all very knowledgeable and got the job done when needed. A small part of me regrets leaving the Selma plant to work at the corporate office.
Kontras
The corporate staff and management is completely opposite. It is a very cold and uninviting environment to work in. I felt almost unwelcomed there and never really new where I was supposed to fit in. I never got any yearly review to know if I was performing ok. I got left off almost every meeting invite which made it difficult to get the information I needed to do my job. I felt like I was just ignored and swept under the rug most days. My job roles and responsibilities were never really explained to me which meant no one in the company even knew what I was supposed to be doing. I had zero training on any job related tasks so management left it up to me to figure everything out which was fine until something went wrong then they just point fingers. I didn't even get an exit interview which just reassured me they didn't even care why I was leaving.
