Pros
If you're someone who wants to learn fast, wear a lot of hats, and actually make an impact, this is the place. You can pretty much try anything (marketing, training, operations, accounting, project management, etc.) and if you see something that could be better, you’re empowered to change it. It’s a fantastic resume builder because the scope of what you’ll touch is huge, and you’re trusted to take ownership.
The work itself is also meaningful. We’re not just moving pets... we’re helping families, and that’s something clients never forget. It’s complex and emotional, but when it goes well, it’s incredibly rewarding. And honestly, most clients are awesome... smart, adventurous, interesting, kind, and fun to work with. You get to talk to people all day about their furry family members and learn more about all these different international places. It's really not that serious, and that kind of mindset helps keep it fun even when it's busy.
Flexibility is also a big perk. As long as you’re organized and communicate well, you can structure your days in a way that works for you. And bonus money is very attainable every quarter, not just pie in the sky, but it IS a hustle!
Kontras
The work can be intense and nonstop. Time zones, government agencies, emotional clients, tight deadlines... there are definitely weeks that feel like a sprint. If you need a super structured 9–5 or struggle with uncertainty, this may not be your vibe. It's definitely not the right fit for everyone.
