Pros

Hybrid Work Schedule - I live farther than most do at my company, so flexibility of a hybrid schedule is amazing. The People!! Monthly events are a fun way to get multiple groups together that you don't get to see very often. We have even participated in volunteer events around Aurora. I have seen a few reviews saying there is no place for advancement, but I have been promoted three times since being here. Peerless sends internal job openings to all current employees first, which is how I was promoted my third time. You create your own destiny, just like every job I have ever held, you work with your manager to set the tone for your career. Not everyone wants to move up, so if you do, have that conversation on your next steps. Sometimes, positions are created for that exact reason. Those reviews sayings there was no room for growth, couldn't have had a career plan talk with their manager. I have been able to receive paid employer training to further my career on multiple items for my position.

Kontras

Sometimes its hard to work with departments that have gone fully remote - but its a learning curve since COVID.

Pros

Got to shadow and learn from the head of the design engineer team.

Kontras

Would have liked to participate in more projects but there was limited time due to it being a summer internship.

Pros

Flexible hours, good work-life balance, no pressure to work weekends. Health benefits are great, sick time and vacation time policies are good (3 weeks vacation to start). Raffles and other events are held regularly and help foster a good sense of community.

Kontras

Employees regularly pay the price for upper management's mistakes as layoffs are very random and very common. Job opportunities for growth are limited as most responsibilities consist of grunt work in the company's ERP system rather than actual continuous improvement efforts. Those improvements that can be made are generally very surface-level as big forward-thinking investments are ignored or ditched due to monetary costs regardless of future benefit. Pay is mediocre, which counteracts the company's good benefits packages.
