Pros
Some of your coworkers are great people but the company is not good at all.
Kontras
At PDQ they will pump you up in the interview and make you believe they are family owned and care about their people. They tell you about all their benefits and perks which don’t exist. There is a lot of illegal activity that goes on there. D.O.T violations, OSHA violations and basic human rights violations. There are no clear job descriptions or duties. You’ll get hired for a role but expected to wear many hats. Technicians are told 8-10 hour shifts but reality is they pay so low that the mechanics they do have are forced to stay and work 14+ hours. When you come to your review they delay it for months and say they don’t have to give you a review or a raise which is actually in their employee handbook. Good luck getting a raise they tell all of their employees they get paid very well for what they know. I’m f you get hurt expect to get fired. Ultimately they really don’t care about any of their workers. Management is all college buddies or the kids of previous managers. There is no career advancement. Managers have zero experience and are handed their positions from the owner. The owner is very condescending and talks down to his employees. The facilities are run down and falling apart. No matter your role you’ll be expected to make repairs. Fill potholes fix plumbing ect. Equipment is run down and sent out barely working. If you need anything good luck. Management does not want to pay for tooling or computers or any office supplies. You’ll be handed a computer from the mid 2000’s to use. Ultimately a absolutely terrible place to work.
