Paynada lacks leadership. This company has been spinning its wheels with no positive change since I started. There is no accountability for the internal dysfunction stemming directly from the problematic leadership team. This team wants it to be everyone else’s fault that they are failing rather than taking an inward look and seeing that the chaos is coming directly from them. The few things that have changed have had poor change management, a lack of understanding and empathy to the ripple effect of changes and the time it takes to implement them— and no long term plan or solutions in general. They slap a bandaid on problems and then wonder why they are still, in fact, problems. Leadership constantly moves the finish line and gives little to no tangible positive feedback. This impacts bonuses as metrics are often changed mid-quarter, with no notice. There is a lack of honest communication throughout all departments. Many managers lead with borderline abusive tactics and others choose to not lead their team at all. There are individuals in leadership making decisions that genuinely counteract the goals and metrics they put in place for other teams. A fish rots from its head and the internal chaos is a direct result of a leadership team with a lack of vision as well as a lack of unity. Until the leadership team gets on the same page, this company will continue to fail in its efforts to scale. The amount of times people get fired or choose to leave on their own within the first few months is staggering. The lack of tenure in all departments at any level is impossible to overlook. The pendulum swing between 1 star reviews and 5 star reviews is jarring—there is no in between. I am certain that Marketing will attempt to rebut this review, but the numbers are not on their side here. Statistically speaking, there is no way that many individuals are “lazy” or “ineffective”.

Improving internal communication, fostering trust, revisiting our training programs, and creating a supportive environment are top priorities for us moving forward. One thing that is never easy in any business is performance management when teams, or team members are to hitting the metrics needed for success. Unfortunately in talent acquisition we were not meeting that mark and seeing enough quality candidates make it through the hiring process.
