Pros

• Culture • Pay • Development and Training • Life Skills Development My friend tried to recruit me to Paycom for 6 months and I kept discrediting him because it sounded to good to be true. Finally I really gave him a shot, heard him out, and did an informational interview. I haven't looked back since. This is a job where effort in=reward out. This was my first sales job althoughbut the amount of intensive training and investment Paycom makes into it's new hires will ramp you up to a full fledge sales professional very quickly. Couple that with meeting with C-Level executives day after day and you will gain a skillset in your first year to rival people twice your age. Paycom has a culture that has a startup energy and vibe however they are well established in the market with an exceptional product and as such compensate their employees like no company I have come across. I would highly recommend Paycom to anyone looking for unlimited growth and earning potential.

Kontras

The first year is hard. Vacation is limited and pay/compensation structure is different for your first year than it is going forward. You really have to put your head down and grind for the first year sacrificing a work life balance however I look at is as one year of paying your dues for the opportunity to learn an incredible amount and to be making more than any of your peers. If you are up for a challenge this is for you. If you prefer to have a no pressure not challenging job this is not for you.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Kontras

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
