Pros

If you are right of college and can't find anything better, it will put food on the table until you can.

Kontras

It was the WORST job and experience i've had! The training for sales isn't that bad, but there is essentially no product training. I left a sales job making $100K because I wanted another challenge and it this seemed very promising long term. At the end of the day you're selling payroll, but they make you believe you're changing the world somehow. It is 100% turn and burn, a VERY long process to actually make a sale, and every company you are calling has been called 5 times already that day by a payroll company. I wasn't a slacker, I was well over my quota when I left, and thank GOD I did. There were 12 people in my training class about 18 months ago, none of them are still there!!! DON'T LISTEN TO THE RECRUITERS WRITING REVIEWS ON HERE!!!

We’re sorry to read of your experience and hope you are able to find a challenging career that fits you better. As you can see by our previous responses, we do not shy away from the fact that being a rep at Paycom is hard work. With that said our sales reps are able to earn substantially more out of the gate than they would elsewhere. They really define their own future at Paycom and that is something we are very proud of. We also want to clarify that each of our sales classes has representatives that are still current members of the organization. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

* Fast learning and professional skill growth. * Great people and strong teams. * Recognized name in the OKC community. * Valuable experience that strengthens future career opportunities, especially in Tech.

Kontras

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
