Pros
$1 lunch, a lot of fun events throughout the year, incredible leadership training, a lot of growth opportunity, great overtime opportunities for hourly employees! A lot of people on here say that the work life balance is too much. If you can't balance your work and life by working 40-50 hours per week something is wrong with you, not the company. The average person works about 5 hours per week of overtime. That really isn't that much. Ask any successful executive at any company how much they had to work to get where they were and they will tell you it was way more than 45 hours per week. Does it suck sometimes when you have to work 50 hours in a week? Of course it does! But it isn't consistent. Stop walking around and socializing for an hour a day and just get your work done. I love it at Paycom and I plan to work here for a very long time and maybe even retire here. There are hiccups along the way but I promise, the grass isn't greener on the other side.
Kontras
We hire people too young and put them in positions they aren't ready for. We need more entry level positions that people directly out of college can start with, but then allow them to move throughout the company. It is unfortunate that people in client facing roles can almost never move to different departments in the company unless they quit and come back.
