I saw the poor reviews and thought I would judge for myself. Why not? I am successful, resilient, and everyone during the hiring process seemed so nice, and the product seemed innovative. Big mistake! B2B SaaS comes with high expectations on results, and I embrace that, but when those results are completely unrealistic (to compensate for overrun product development costs), it leads to very low morale when those targets aren’t achieved. The CEO changes his mind all of the time. One day you are launching a product or feature, the next day it is being shelved. You have ‘OKRs’ but they are meaningless, as they either become outdated in a week, or they are so outrageous to the point of ridiculous, that everyone just knows to just get on with their day. The revolving door of people goes way beyond the “economic down-turn”. In just a few months, I counted 21 people who I directly worked with (really talented people, who worked tirelessly) walk out the door because they were either used as a scapegoat, or they were discouraged and burnt-out from trying to hold the house of cards together. On my first day in the office, I heard someone say “no-one lasts a year”. I was mortified at the time, but then realized over time that it was the truth.

Product, people , culture, spiffs, encouraging

Kontras

They don’t spend enough money on the sales team. Laptop you receive is cheap and can effect your work especially during a zoom call with a client

Pros

Good people in UK, US and Canada who are trying their best, considering the lack of investment and micromanagement by CEO.

Kontras

CEO wants to grow in US market, but at Chinese prices, which shows his lack of understanding and strategy. 100% of R&D in China, while rest of world decoupling from China. Company not able to keep top talent, many of CEO's leaders know he is not capable, but hang out for the paycheck.
