Pros

The client's. It's easy to get attached to them.

Kontras

Filthy, dirty building. No management support. Management demeans the staff. Bulling allowed among staff (a staff member literally bit me and there were no repercussions. We're talking a grown adult doing this to another adult). A lot of catty women who start little clicks and gang up on other employees. No proper training for staff. Very negative work environment. Extremely LOW PAY.

Pros

Owner is very helpful and works with employee schedules. The job is very selfless as you are caring for those in need. Freedom to be creative and have fun where you work. Good support system to lean on as coworkers have to work together.

Kontras

Many of the things you learn here are very hands on and on the fly which is how it goes at any job, but a good training system would benefit. Other than that its an awesome place.

Pros

The only other positive reason for working at Paragon aside from helping the individuals receiving services is that you get a Christmas bonus. Paragon has two locations to date, Wyandotte and Garden City Michigan. My experience is with both locations.

Kontras

Employees are paid two times per month and this is not on a bi-weekly bases, sometime 16 to 17 days from the last pay date. At times employees are only paid 1 time in a month based on how many days are in that month. Pay rate is low and dependent on experience/Training. Provider and management teams do not follow their own company policies until they are reprimanding their staff, this is to make terminations look more valid.
